Evangelical Lutheran Church in AmericaOver the past few years Public Safety Ministries (PSM) has spent a considerable amount of time accessing affiliation opportunities. PSM has taken great strides to maintain an “interfaith” ministry identity as it serves those of ALL faith traditions. However, it is a ministry lead by an ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) minister. PSM President, Pastor Dan Carlson is ordained through the Minneapolis Area Synod of the ELCA. Throughout the ordination process Chaplain Carlson has explored the best way to affiliate with the ELCA in this ministry. The result is the development of “ELCA Ministry Partners”. These congregations have each made commitments to PSM in four areas:
- Prayer Support
- Logistical Support
- Financial Support
- Participation in a Pastoral Advisory Group
The specifics of support from each partner is based on the individual resources of the congregation. We are in the process of formalizing these partnerships, but the following congregations have made significant commitments to PSM and we look forward to their continued support!
