In the law enforcement professions we are constantly faced with tragedy, pain and suffering.  We hear a lot about “God’s Plan” and ” God’s Will”, but often those thoughts don’t provide comfort to those suffering and those who protect and serve those who suffer.  Join us as we discuss how our faith impacts us in times of challenge.

As always, you can bring your own lunch, coffee is provided.

Our Next Spiritual Fitness Gathering: Wednesday, February 24, 2010.  Noon to 1:00 at Oak Knoll Lutheran Church in Minnetonka, MN. (Bring your own lunch!)

The topic for our December 23, 2009 Spiritual Fitness Gathering will  be: “Spiritual Care: A Coordinated Effort”.   There is an abundance of Spiritual and Emotional Care resources available to public safety and emergency services personnel, but often we see a lack of coordination  of those services.  Come and join us as we have a discussion about available resources and how they can be best utilized to care for the spiritual health of our professionals and our profession.  Hope to see you there!

The last few days I’ve been working on a new logo for the ministry.  So far this is what I’ve come up with working in Microsoft Word.  My computer skills are somewhat limited, so there is not a color component, but with the help of my daughter and son I actually came up with a rough version of something I like.

I’ve got a couple different versions, with the same components, just moved arond a bit.  If I still like it (and don’t get a lot of negitive feedback) in a few days, I think I’ll look for someone with better skills that I have to make it more professional.
