Photos Are Back!!!!!

Some of you may have noticed that I haven’t posted any photos (other than links off the net) lately. Well that was the result of user issues, aka I reverted to old software and forgot how to use it. Well I refreshed my brain and figured it out. Below are some photos I should have put in previous posts. See if you can figure out which ones go where. (and they all don’t go in the same post)

Comments Are On!(and some are coming in)

A couple of weeks ago we turned on the “comments” option at the bottom of the posts. For those of us that are learning as we go in the weblogging world, (what you are reading is actually is a weblog, aka “blog” for those of you that didn’t know) we have to learn about the different functions and protocols, customs and benefits of reading and responding to weblogs.

The comments function is an important tool for building an informative and interesting interactive website. This past week I received a few (three actually) comments on my posts. I will respond to some of the comments with an additional comment, some comments need no response, hopefully some comments will stimulate a comment or two from other readers and sometimes I will respond to the comment in a new post. For instance, today I added comments to my posts from 2/23 and 2/14. I intend to write an additional post regarding comments on the 2/21 post.

So if you are new to the weblogging world, check out the comments function of current and previous posts. You click on the word “comments” and you can read what some other people have to say or say something yourself.

Reader Interaction

I think it is time that I open the “comments” function of these website postings.  Now that I am “retired” from my day job, I have more time to commit to working on this site.  So from now on I am going to set “comments on ” as the default.  So feel free to comment on what has been posted, what’s been commented on about what’s been posted, what’s been commented on about what’s been commented on about what’s been posted, what’s been….well you get the picture (sometimes I crack myself up, my kids on the other hand just don’t get it…or me)

“Contact Us” is back up and running!

I told you I had top people on the tech issue! “Contact Us” is back in service!

Also, I have just received all of the lost (temporarily mis-placed) e-mails that have been sent over the past month or so. I appreciate your feedback and will be responding to all messages in the next couple of days.

Thank you for your patience.

Welcome…..sort of…..pretty soon….

If you are reading this you’ve obviously found our new website. I’ve wrestled with when to go live with this site. I’ve been working on drafts of postings and pages and links and some other stuff, but my patience is growing thin and I wanted to spend some “time on the water” so to speak. (If you want to know what “time on the water” means, click on it and you’ll go to definitions where you can look it up). So I’m jumping in and playing with it. I’m retiring in January of 2007 and that’s when this becomes my full time gig. But for now I’m fitting it in between the chief, husband, dad, dog handler gigs.

If you do find your way here and you want to know something about this adventure that isn’t here, feel free to “contact me” and I promise I’ll get back to you. Stay tuned…..
